Medicinal Mushrooms and Breast Cancer

Study Summaries

Studies have shown that the main mushroom healing component inhibits the growth of non-estrogen-sensitive breast cancer cells by inhibiting the production of the NF-kappa B protein, which in cancer conditions contributes to the spread of metastatic cancer cells, as well as increasing the resistance of many tumors to chemotherapy. NF-kappa B directly affects tumor growth by suppressing the programmed cell death process (apoptosis), as well as by affecting cellular processes that cause uncontrolled cell growth. Hence suppression of the NF-kappaB protein is extremely essential in the fight against cancer.

Other studies have examined the anti-cancer activity of the medicinal mushroom Maitake. The fungus contains a unique ingredient called D-Fraction, which has been found in studies to have the ability to reduce cancerous growths. In a study examining the activity of D-Fraction on estrogen-sensitive breast cancer cells, it was found that injecting Maitake extract caused apoptosis (cell death) of the cancer cells, and the higher the dose of Maitake extract, the greater the apoptosis process. In addition, the Maitake extract with the D-Fraction component stopped the spread of the metastases, reduced the markers of the tumor markers, and increased the activity of the white blood cells of the Natural Killer Cells type, whose function is to eliminate cancer cells in the body.

A study of women with breast cancer found that giving nine grams of extract from the medicinal fungus Tremates caused an increase in the activity of the immune system against cancer cells, by increasing the number of white blood cells of the lymphocyte type, and especially an increase in the number of white blood cells of NK lymphocytes. Natural Killer cells, the white blood cells that fight the cancer cells directly and are directly responsible for the death of the cancer cells.

Another study found that the medicinal fungus Agaricus has the ability to inhibit the activity of the enzyme aromatase, an enzyme that is very important in estrogen-sensitive breast cancer because it encourages the overproduction of estrogen. This activity of inhibiting the activity of aromatase by the medicinal fungus Agaricus actually prevents the spread of cancer cells.

A study conducted at the University of Western Australia in 2004-2005 among 2018 women, half of whom had recovered from breast cancer and half of whom did not have breast cancer at all, examined the effect of eating shiitake and Agaricus mushrooms combined with green tea on breast cancer risk or recurrence. At the end of the study, it turned out that women who consumed an average of at least 10 grams of fresh apricot mushrooms every day (a weight equal to less than a whole mushroom!) were 64% less likely to develop breast cancer or re-develop breast cancer than those who did not eat mushrooms at all.

Those who ate four grams of dried shiitake mushrooms reduced their risk of developing breast cancer by 47%. When these women added to the menu, in addition to fresh or dried mushrooms, also 1.05 grams of green tea leaves in infusions, the protective effect of the two combined factors reached 89%!

Benefits of using medicinal mushrooms, which distinguish them from medicines:

• Medicinal mushrooms do not cause additional damage or stress to the body.

• Their balancing activity enables the body to deal with environmental stress and biological stress.

• Has an activity that supports more than one system (vaccine, nerves, metabolic).

• They do not cause side effects.

• They do not interact (biological response) with drugs and other treatments. Medicinal mushrooms are safe to use – they have been used for centuries and are still widely used in medicine and food in Japan, China, and the entire Far East

Nutritional Immunotherapy. AHCC – Activated Hexose Correlated Compound

ahcc-cyprus-nikolenko-clinic-post banner

More than a year ago Medinstitute / Nikolenko Clinic has included AHCC (Activated Hexose Correlated Compound) into the clinic patient’s treatment protocols as part of nutritional immunotherapy. Natural supplements like AHCC, Reishi Pure, Myco Digest, Myco Women, Myco Protect, and many other natural compounds giving very unique active components to modulate patients’ immune systems.

AHCC has been clinically studied and tested to have positive benefits for people with cancer, diabetes, the flu, HPV, liver ailments, cardiovascular disease, stress, and inflammation. As an extra benefit, AHCC helps you better withstand the impacts of treatments for many of these debilitating diseases and conditions.

For healthy people, AHCC is useful in health maintenance and in preventing infection by aiding in the normal function of your immune system.

In integrative oncology, research indicates that AHC may lead to longer post-operative survival, help support patients through chemotherapy, reduce the negative effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and lead to an improvement in the quality of life.

AHCC supports your immune system by turning up the dial on your natural immune response.

The proven benefits of AHCC include:

  • Increasing the production of cytokines
  • Increasing the activity of NK cells by as much as 300 – 800%
  • Increasing populations of macrophages, in some cases, doubling them
  • Increasing the number of dendritic cells
  • Increasing the number of T cells by as much as 200%

Myco WOMEN – safe and optimal formula for women’s health from Israel

Myco Women – formula combines several types of medicinal mushrooms investigated and found to be effective in treating breast cancer: my head went, Ithaca, Trmts Vitka.

One of the most important challenges facing the world of science today is finding an effective and safe treatment for cancer. One way that is gaining momentum is called immunotherapy – treating cancer by increasing the patient’s immune response.

Medicinal mushrooms have been extensively studied in the context of regulating the immune system and their contribution to the fight against cancer.

The unique ingredients in medicinal mushrooms that do this are called polysaccharides (polysaccharides). These substances allow the identification of cancer cells by the immune system as foreign cells to the body. As a result, an accurate immune response is created against the cancer cells, preventing the spread of the disease or the formation of metastases.

As early as 1977, the first cancer treatment drug, called Krestin, was registered and produced in Japan, based on the polysaccharides PSP and PSK, which are extracted from the medicinal fungus termites.

In 1985, the polysaccharide-based drug Lentinan, which is extracted from the Shiitake medicinal mushroom, was registered in Japan as a drug to treat stomach cancer!

Myco Women contains four different types of medicinal mushrooms that have been researched and found to be effective in the fight against breast cancer.

The main point is that the mushroom unique components inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells that are not sensitive to estrogen by inhibiting the production of the NF-kappaB protein.

For example, the Maitake mushroom which is a part of Myco Women contains a unique ingredient called D-Fraction, which has been found in studies to have the ability to reduce cancerous growths.

A study of women with breast cancer found that giving nine grams of extract from the medicinal mushroom Trametes caused an increase in the activity of the immune system against the cancer cells.

Another study found that women who ate four grams of dried Shiitake mushrooms reduced their risk of developing breast cancer by 47%

For women who also want to protect themself from severe diseases and improve immune system we recommend to use Myco Women and have great support for:

  • balancing the hormonal system
  • fight candida and other fungal infections
  • premenstrual syndrome
  • hot flashes and Menopause issues
